Radical Racer Challenge

This is my entry to the Radical Racer Original Character Challenge on DeviantArt.
I had to design some original racer guy and I tried to sketch some sci-fi or steampunk-ish stuff, but nothing worked for me. Probably because I was on vacation with my family and friends on one local sea resort. But one morning when I as usual was going to the beach to take the best place it dawned me that this is it, this is The Race. I already had the sketches of seagulls, a kick scooter and my daughter's rubber ring. So I just combined all that stuff into one funny scene.
